Our Mission Statement Parents, Staff and Community working together to achieve common goals to reach
higher levels of accomplishment for a better future.
Our Vision Statement
We strive to provide a strength based, comprehensive early childhood development program to families by working with other agencies and programs serving expectant parents and children under age three. We deliver high quality services to participants in meeting the educational, emotional, social, and medical needs of the children and families we serve. We encourage the development of the children, parents, program staff, and community. We believe that meaningful participation of parents and community is essential for our program to be dynamic and responsive in promoting a better future for the community as a whole.
Using a home-based approach, the program is funded to serve 104 eligible children 0 to 3 years of age and pregnant women. Anyone may apply for Early Head Start services, however, low-income families and children with special needs have priority for enrollment.
The four cornerstones for Early Head Start are: child development, family development, staff development and community building. The main objectives are: enhancing children’s growth and development, strengthening families as primary nurtures of their children and enhancing parent-child relationships.
Individualized family partnership agreements are developed with families and children. Families are linked to comprehensive community services in order to meet their personal goals and self-sufficiency needs. Children are provided with age-appropriate curricular experiences and individualized educational, health and nutritional services.
Program Director, Alice Lybarger, and Assistant Program Director, Jessica Hernandez, Program Managers, Family Support Workers, Health, Nutrition, Disabilities and Pre-natal Specialists, various support staff and contracted consultants provide the comprehensive services required by the federal regulations.
