We are grateful to have Linda as an MCOE employee! Linda has worked for MCOE since April of 2000. She is an asset to the students, teachers and Modoc Middle School. Linda also reaches beyond her site. This month she shared magazine articles that were included in the Special Education Newsletter, and frequently shares ideas regarding advances in technology specific to special needs students.

Linda's direct supervisor, Special Education Teacher at Modoc Middle School Don Mason says, "Linda Alexander has been a Special Education Aide at Modoc Middle School for 11 years. I have had the pleasure of working with her for the last 7 years. During this time, I have seen Linda go beyond the call of duty on a constant basis. She often works with kids through her breaks and lunches. She is always at work early so that she can make herself available for kids. On numerous occasions I have seen her take books home and read the next lessons in order for her to be prepared for the next day. Not only is she concerned about our kids' academics but developing a well adjusted child. For instance, just recently she had gathered some girls together during lunch and had them doing some role playing on how to make friends. On other occasions she has brought clothing and food to school for kids that were lacking some essentials. Linda is not just a Special Education Aide but is an employee that is here for our entire student body. In addition she is well liked by the staff and students."

Mike Martin, Site Principal and Modoc Middle School shares, "Linda does whatever is needed to help students or staff, regardless of whether it is in her job description or not. That attitude makes her a valuable team member at MMS and our students receive the benefits from that."
