![]() Every single child deserves the opportunity to be ready for school, and ready to succeed. Perhaps you are reading a story together, or working on a puzzle. Maybe you're playing catch at the park or inspecting a butterfly or roly-poly bug. Or is your child imagining being a super-hero, and acting out a related story with playmates? These are all wonderful ways of preparing your child for school. When I think of being ready for school, it's not getting a new backpack or lunchbox or new clothes. For me, "school readiness" means a child is prepared to leave home, be away from family, participate in a classroom and interact with teachers and peers. Read entire article HERE. |
