Napa preschoolers start year with digital literacy program

As 23 public and private preschools open throughout Napa County this year, kids as young as three will be exposed to “digital early literacy” through a free computer program introduced by Footsteps2Brilliance.

“Our purpose in doing this is to eliminate the two-year achievement gap that research has shown exists between children from more affluent families and those from less affluent families, particularly English-learners,” said Barbara Nemko, the Napa County Schools Superintendent.
