Parent Involvement in Schools Linked to Improved Academic Outcomes

A new EdSource report, The Power of Parents, produced in collaboration with New America Media, reviews compelling research showing that parent involvement in their children's school is associated with a range of positive outcomes for students, such as greater academic success, improved attitudes toward school, and a reduction in at-risk behavior. The research also shows that parent involvement is correlated with more teacher satisfaction.
